SEATTLE - Washington's home opener against Syracuse wasn't supposed to be at all like the 2007 contest that saw Jake Locker dominate in his first career start at SU's Carrier Dome en route to a 42-12 win. This Syracuse team was supposed to be better, but UW handled them not much differently than three years ago. Scott Eklund, Chris Fetters and Kim Grinolds spoke post-game about the good, bad and ugly from the Huskies' 41-20 victory over the Orange at Husky Stadium.

SEATTLE - Dawgman.com's Kim Grinolds caught up with former UW hoopster Jamaal Williams, who was part of Washington's deep tourney run that ended with an overtime defeat to Connecticut in the NCAA Tournament round of 16. The power forward from California - a transfer to UW from New Mexico - scored 28 in that game. Williams, who is currently living in Seattle, talked about the similarities and differences between this senior team and this current Husky club. He also talked about the loss of assistant Cameron Dollar, who is now the head coach at Seattle University. He also talked about the Pac-10 tournament, and the benefits of playing an earlier game on Thursday (this interview was done Tuesday morning, before the Pac-10.
